Refunds

Refund, returns and cancellation policy.

Last updated: 1 July 2026

This policy explains when an order may be cancelled and how we deal with damaged, missing, incorrect, unsafe or faulty products. It is in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory rights.

3.1 If something is wrong with your order

If an item is missing, incorrect, damaged, spoiled, unsafe, not as described or not of satisfactory quality, contact info@co-bridge.co.uk as soon as reasonably possible. For perishable products, contacting us within 24 hours is strongly recommended because it helps us investigate storage, temperature and quality issues, but failing to contact us within 24 hours does not remove your statutory rights.

Please provide your order number, the affected product, a description of the problem and photographs where reasonably possible. Do not consume a product that you believe may be unsafe. Keep the product and packaging safely until we give instructions, unless disposal is necessary for safety.

3.2 Remedies for faulty or non-conforming goods

Where goods are faulty, unsafe, not as described or not of satisfactory quality, we will provide the remedy required by law. Depending on the circumstances, this may be a refund, replacement or other appropriate remedy. We will not require you to accept store credit instead of a refund where the law entitles you to a refund, although you may choose credit voluntarily.

Refunds are made to the original payment method unless you agree otherwise. Banks and payment providers may take additional time to display the refund.

3.3 Perishable products and change-of-mind returns

Fresh meat, chilled food, frozen food and other goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly are excluded from the standard 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right. They cannot normally be returned simply because you changed your mind. This exclusion does not apply where the goods are faulty, unsafe, not as described or not of satisfactory quality.

3.4 Hygiene-sealed products

Where a product is sealed for health-protection or hygiene reasons and is not suitable for return once opened, the change-of-mind right ends when the seal is broken. This does not affect rights relating to a fault or misdescription.

3.5 Eligible non-perishable goods

For a non-perishable product that is eligible for distance-selling cancellation, you may notify us that you wish to cancel within 14 days beginning the day after delivery. You then have a further 14 days to return the product. You may handle the product only as reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way you could reasonably inspect it in a shop.

Contact us before returning an item so that we can provide return instructions. Unless the item is faulty, incorrect or not as described, you are responsible for the direct return cost. We may reduce a refund to reflect loss in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the item.

Where the whole eligible order is cancelled, we will also refund the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. We do not have to refund any extra amount paid for an enhanced delivery option. We will make the refund within 14 days after receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that they were sent back, whichever is earlier, subject to the law.

3.6 Cancelling before preparation

You may ask to cancel or amend an order before it enters preparation. Contact us immediately. Because same-day and perishable orders may be prepared quickly, cancellation cannot be guaranteed once the order has been accepted and preparation has begun.

For a Regular Order, the next delivery may be edited, skipped, paused or cancelled before the cut-off shown in your account or checkout. Unless otherwise displayed, that cut-off is 48 hours before delivery. After the cut-off, cancellation of perishable items may no longer be possible because payment, allocation or preparation may have started.

3.7 Failed delivery caused by customer information or absence

Where delivery cannot be completed because the address, access information or contact details you supplied were materially incorrect, or because no one was available to receive perishable goods and no suitable authorised alternative was available, we may charge reasonable redelivery or handling costs actually incurred. If perishable goods cannot safely be redelivered or resold, we may be unable to refund their price. We will consider the circumstances fairly. This does not affect rights where we failed to deliver with reasonable care or the goods were otherwise faulty or unsafe.

3.8 Natural variation and storage after delivery

Normal variation in the shape, colour, marbling or appearance of fresh meat is not by itself a defect where the product remains safe, accurately described and within the declared specification. A remedy may be unavailable where deterioration was caused after delivery by failure to refrigerate, freeze, store, handle or cook the product in accordance with the supplied instructions. This does not affect rights relating to a problem that existed at delivery.

3.9 Model cancellation form – eligible non-perishable goods only

You may use the form below, but you do not have to. Send it to info@co-bridge.co.uk.
