Terms

Terms and conditions.

Last updated: 1 July 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Halal Bristol website and the purchase of products from Co-Bridge Sustainable Solutions Ltd. Please read them before ordering. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Halal Bristol is a trading brand of Co-Bridge Sustainable Solutions Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16616279. Registered office: 821 Filton Avenue, Filton, Bristol, England, BS34 7HH. Email: info@co-bridge.co.uk.

2.1 Who may order

You must be at least 18 years old, be acting as a consumer and be legally capable of entering into a contract. You must provide accurate account, contact, delivery and payment information and keep your login credentials secure.

2.2 Products and product information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product names, descriptions, prices, pack sizes, images and food information are accurate. Product images are illustrative. Fresh meat is a natural product, so shape, colour, marbling and appearance may vary. Declared pack weights are supplied in accordance with applicable measurement requirements and any permitted tolerances.

Ingredients, allergens, storage instructions, preparation instructions, origin information and other mandatory food information are provided from information supplied by manufacturers, butcher partners and suppliers. You must review the online information before ordering and the label or information supplied with the delivered product before consumption.

All products are subject to availability. We may limit quantities, suspend a product, correct information or withdraw a product where reasonably necessary.

2.3 Halal information

Products described as halal are supplied in accordance with the Halal Sourcing Statement published on the website. A named certification body, certification logo or specific slaughter-method claim will be used only where the relevant product or supplier documentation has been verified and the scope of the claim is clear.

2.4 Orders and contract formation

When you submit an order, you make an offer to buy the products in your basket. An automated acknowledgement confirms only that we have received the order. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation stating that we have accepted the order.

We may decline an order before acceptance where, for example, a product is unavailable, the delivery address is outside our service area, daily capacity has been reached, payment is not authorised, we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse, there is an obvious pricing error, or fulfilment would create a food-safety or legal risk. If, after acceptance, we are unable to supply an item or complete delivery, we will contact you and provide an appropriate remedy, which may include a substitute offered for your approval, a revised delivery arrangement or a refund. If payment has been taken for an order or item that we do not supply, we will refund the relevant amount promptly.

2.5 Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any applicable taxes. Delivery charges, discounts and the final total are shown before you place the order. Payment is processed by the payment methods displayed at checkout. At checkout, the payment button will clearly indicate that placing the order creates an obligation to pay.

If a price is obviously incorrect and you knew or reasonably should have known that it was an error, we may reject the order or cancel it before supply and refund the amount paid. This does not affect your rights where an order has been validly accepted and the law requires supply at the agreed price.

2.6 Availability and substitutions

If an item becomes unavailable, we may contact you to offer a substitute. We will not knowingly substitute a product without your consent or a substitution preference you selected at checkout. Substitutes may contain different ingredients or allergens, so you must review the substitute information before consumption. If no suitable substitute is accepted, we will remove the item and refund it. Where an accepted substitute costs less, we will refund the difference; where it costs more, we will not charge the difference unless you expressly agree.

2.7 Promotions and discount codes

Promotions are subject to the specific terms displayed with the offer, product availability and any minimum-order requirement. Unless stated otherwise, codes cannot be exchanged for cash, cannot be transferred, cannot be combined and may be withdrawn or corrected where published in error, provided this does not affect an order already validly accepted.

The WELCOMEHALAL offer provides free standard delivery on one eligible first order by a new customer, subject to the £45 minimum order and successful application of the code at checkout. It is limited to one use per customer. Orders of £65 or more already qualify for free standard delivery under the Delivery Policy.

2.8 Delivery

Delivery is available only to eligible Bristol-area postcodes, subject to stock and daily capacity. You select an available delivery date at checkout. The current delivery window, cut-off, charges and minimum order are set out in the Delivery Policy and shown before payment.

We aim to deliver on the selected date, but times within the delivery window are estimates unless an exact slot is expressly confirmed. If an event outside our reasonable control affects delivery, we will take reasonable steps to contact you and minimise disruption. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights relating to late or failed delivery.

2.9 Receiving and storing food

Someone should be available to receive perishable items during the delivery window. After delivery, you are responsible for promptly refrigerating or freezing products as instructed and for following use-by dates, storage information and preparation guidance.

If you provide express safe-place or neighbour instructions, we may follow them only where we reasonably consider the location suitable for the products. We may refuse to leave chilled or frozen food unattended where this could compromise food safety. Where we follow suitable instructions with reasonable care, we may record the order as delivered, subject always to your statutory rights. This does not exclude liability for our negligence or for goods that were unsafe, faulty or not as described when delivered.

2.10 Regular Orders

Regular Orders are recurring purchases at the frequency selected by you, such as weekly, every two weeks or monthly. Buy Once remains the default unless you actively select Regular Order. A Regular Order is not a fixed-term contract and may be paused, skipped or cancelled using your account or by contacting us, subject to the order cut-off shown for the next delivery.

Unless a different cut-off is displayed, changes to the next Regular Order must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery. At or shortly after the cut-off, payment may be authorised or taken and the order may enter preparation. Changes made after the cut-off may apply only to later deliveries, particularly where perishable goods have been ordered or prepared.

Current Regular Order prices, discounts, minimum-order rules and delivery charges are shown before enrolment and at checkout. At launch, no separate Regular Order delivery fee is charged. We may change future Regular Order pricing or delivery terms by giving reasonable advance notice. A change will not affect an order already charged or locked for preparation.

If a payment fails, we may retry payment, contact you, suspend the affected delivery or pause the Regular Order. You remain responsible for keeping payment and contact details current.

2.11 Cancellation and statutory rights

Fresh meat, chilled food, frozen food and other goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly do not have the standard change-of-mind cancellation right after delivery. Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons may also lose the change-of-mind right once unsealed. Eligible non-perishable goods may be cancelled and returned as described in the Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policy.

Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer law where goods are faulty, unsafe, not as described or not of satisfactory quality.

2.12 Food safety, withdrawals and recalls

We may suspend, withdraw, replace or recall a product where required by a supplier, manufacturer, local authority or regulator, or where we reasonably identify a food-safety risk. We may use the contact information attached to the affected order to send urgent safety instructions. You must follow those instructions and must not consume a product that is subject to a recall or appears unsafe.

2.13 Website use and intellectual property

You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security, introduce malicious code, scrape content at scale or use the service unlawfully. Website content, branding, text, graphics and layout are owned by or licensed to us and may not be commercially reproduced without permission.

2.14 Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for losses caused by inaccurate information or unsafe instructions supplied by you, or for business losses where you use the service for commercial purposes.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory consumer rights, defective products where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or food-safety obligations.

2.15 Complaints

If you have a complaint, contact info@co-bridge.co.uk with your order number and a clear description of the issue. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable period. This complaints process does not restrict your statutory rights.

2.16 Governing law and courts

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will generally have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, any mandatory consumer rights and any right to bring proceedings in your local courts are not affected.

2.17 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for future orders. The version that applies to an order is the version made available when that order was placed. Material changes to a Regular Order arrangement will be communicated in advance where required.
