A 400g pack of arpa şehriye, the small barley-shaped pasta Turkish grandmothers toast in butter and cook down with rice for a two-grain pilav. Also good in a chicken soup: throw in the last ten minutes and it thickens the broth just enough. Contains gluten and may contain traces of egg.
