Humza Paratha

A 1.6kg pack of 20 frozen parathas, the layered flatbread of Pakistani and North Indian kitchens. The dough is rolled out in thin layers with fat between them, so in a hot pan each one puffs and separates into flaky, slightly crisp sheets. Kept in the freezer, they turn into hot bread in a couple of minutes. Serve them with fried eggs and chai for a desi breakfast, with keema, nihari or dal at dinner, or roll one around a seekh kebab with chutney and sliced onion for a quick wrap. Cook them straight from frozen and do not let them thaw first; a thawed paratha sticks to its plastic sheet and tears. Contains gluten; check the pack for the full allergen list.
