Zaad Molokhia (Whole Leaf)

Molokhia, also called jute mallow, is a leafy green cooked across Egypt, the Levant, Sudan and North Africa, valued for the silky, slightly thick texture it gives a broth. This pack holds the whole leaves, frozen, which is how many Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian cooks prefer it: the leaves keep their shape in the stew instead of melting into a smooth soup. Cook it as whole-leaf mloukhieh with chicken or lamb, finished with a fry of garlic and ground coriander, and serve it over vermicelli rice with lemon and chopped onion in vinegar on the side.
