BS postcode delivery areas: where Halal Bristol covers (Cotham, Easton, Bedminster, all of Bristol)

We deliver halal meat boxes and Middle Eastern groceries to every BS postcode, plus Bath and a few districts beyond it, every day — same-day if you order before 14:00, delivered between 14:00 and 22:00. The list below is the neighbourhood-by-neighbourhood breakdown, with notes on each area's Muslim community and any logistics worth noting.

BS1 - City centre, Harbourside

Central Bristol. Mostly apartments, some terraced housing in the older lanes. Smaller residential population than other postcodes (a lot of BS1 is commercial and student accommodation).

Muslim community: Mixed - student community, central professionals, mosque-going families who work centrally. The Bristol Central Mosque is in this area.

Delivery notes: Some apartment blocks require buzzer / concierge access. Leave the building name and floor in the delivery notes.

BS2 - St Paul's, Montpelier, Stokes Croft

Inner city, mixed-use, ethnically diverse. Active community life, lots of independent shops, growing Muslim population.

Muslim community: Diverse - established Caribbean Muslim community, growing Middle Eastern population, students from the nearby university.

Delivery notes: Mostly straightforward; some terraced streets with limited parking - driver may need to walk a short distance from car.

BS3 - Bedminster, Southville, Ashton

South Bristol, traditionally working-class, now mixed and gentrifying. Significant Muslim population growth in recent years.

Muslim community: Growing - particularly Somali, Yemeni, and South Asian families pushed south by central Bristol housing costs.

Delivery notes: Standard terraced housing for the most part; some newer flats around East Street and Ashton Gate.

BS4 - Brislington, Knowle, Totterdown, Brislington East

South-east Bristol, mostly residential. Significant Muslim community concentrated in Totterdown and Knowle West.

Muslim community: Established - Bristol Jamia and Totterdown Mosque both serve this area. Growing as families move south.

Delivery notes: Wide area; the BS4 postcode spans some quite different neighbourhoods. Our slots are flexible enough to cover the full range.

BS5 - Easton, Lawrence Hill, St George, Stapleton, Eastville

The historical centre of Bristol's Muslim and South Asian communities. Easton Jamia Masjid is here, as are most of Bristol's longstanding halal butchers and Middle Eastern grocers.

Muslim community: The largest and most concentrated Muslim population in Bristol - multi-generational families, with newer arrivals continuing to settle here. Easton in particular feels like a small Muslim village within the city.

Delivery notes: Streets can be busy and parking is tight, especially on Fridays around Jumu'ah times. Driver will work around it.

BS6 - Cotham, Redland, Bishopston

North Bristol, mostly middle-class, residential. Smaller but well-established Muslim community - often professionals and academics from the universities.

Muslim community: Smaller than east Bristol, more dispersed. Notable Middle Eastern presence. Bristol Central Mosque is the nearest major venue.

Delivery notes: Quiet residential streets; usually straightforward access.

BS7 - Bishopston, Horfield, Filton-edge

North Bristol, mostly residential. Mixed neighbourhoods. Some Muslim community, growing as the area diversifies.

Muslim community: Smaller but present. Often professionals working in Bristol or commuting to UWE / nearby business parks.

Delivery notes: Standard residential delivery. Parking generally available.

BS8 - Clifton, Hotwells

West Bristol, the most affluent residential postcode. Smaller Muslim population.

Muslim community: Smaller - academic and professional Muslim families, students from Bristol University, occasional residents.

Delivery notes: Clifton has some narrow streets and parking restrictions - driver may need to find parking on a nearby street.

BS9 - Henleaze, Westbury-on-Trym, Stoke Bishop

North-west Bristol, affluent residential. Mixed but smaller Muslim community.

Muslim community: Smaller and dispersed - established professional families, academic households.

Delivery notes: Standard delivery; driver will reach all areas.

BS10 - Southmead, Henbury

North Bristol, mixed residential. Growing Muslim community.

Muslim community: Smaller historically; growing as families spread north.

Delivery notes: Some narrow estate roads; otherwise straightforward.

BS11 - Avonmouth, Shirehampton, Lawrence Weston

West Bristol, more industrial-edge. Smaller Muslim population.

Muslim community: Smaller; some Yemeni and Somali families.

Delivery notes: Outer Bristol, slightly longer drive for us - slots may be tighter; book early.

BS13 - Withywood, Hartcliffe, Bishopsworth

South Bristol, mostly residential. Smaller but growing Muslim community.

Muslim community: Smaller historically; some growth as housing affordability pushes families south.

Delivery notes: Standard suburban delivery.

BS14 - Hengrove, Whitchurch, Stockwood

South-east Bristol, suburban. Growing Muslim community.

Muslim community: Smaller historically; one of Bristol's growing-edge areas as families move south.

BS15 - Kingswood

East Bristol-adjacent (technically in South Gloucestershire for some addresses, but BS15 postcode covers it). Mixed residential.

Muslim community: Smaller; some families.

Delivery notes: Outer area; slot availability may be more limited.

BS16 - Fishponds, Frenchay, Downend, Mangotsfield, Staple Hill

North-east Bristol, mostly residential and South Gloucestershire-adjacent. Growing Muslim community.

Muslim community: Growing - mixed; close to UWE Bristol campus for student community.

Delivery notes: Standard suburban delivery. UWE-edge addresses may take slightly longer for slot allocation due to distance.

BS20-BS49 - the coast, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire

This section used to say these postcodes were outside our area. They are not, and have not been for some time. We deliver to all of them on the same £45 minimum and the same 14:00-22:00 window as the city.

Portishead and the coast: BS20, and Clevedon on BS21.

Weston-super-Mare: BS22 (Worle), BS23 (central) and BS24 (south).

The Mendip edge: Winscombe and Sandford on BS25, Axbridge on BS26, Cheddar on BS27, Wedmore on BS28.

Banwell, BS29: we deliver here too, but it is the one BS postcode with a higher floor - £100 minimum rather than £45, because of the round trip. Checkout shows it before you pay.

East and north: Bitton and Longwell Green on BS30, Keynsham on BS31, Bradley Stoke on BS32, Patchway and Filton on BS34, Thornbury on BS35, Winterbourne and Frampton Cotterell on BS36, Yate and Chipping Sodbury on BS37.

Chew Valley and the south-west: Pensford and High Littleton on BS39, Chew Magna and Chew Stoke on BS40, Long Ashton on BS41, Nailsea and Backwell on BS48, Congresbury and Yatton on BS49.

Beyond BS: Bath on BA1 and BA2 at a £100 minimum, and BA4, GL5, NP19, SN14 and SN15 further out at £150.

Delivery logistics summary

When: order before 2:00 pm for same-day delivery, or pick a later date at checkout. Every delivery lands in the 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm window. We deliver every day, and the website takes orders around the clock.

Free delivery threshold: £65+ order. Below: £4.99 flat fee (£2.99 on subscriptions).

Minimum order: £45. Bath (BA1, BA2) and Banwell (BS29) are £100; BA4, GL5, NP19, SN14 and SN15 are £150.

Out of stock items: We message you within an hour of ordering if anything is unavailable. You can substitute or refund.

Late delivery: If we're running late (rare, but possible in heavy traffic), we WhatsApp you. The driver will deliver to a safe place if you've authorised it in advance.

Why Bristol-only

Everything is cut in Bristol on the morning it goes out, by our halal butcher partner, and it is in your kitchen that afternoon. That is the constraint the area is drawn around: we go as far as a van can go and still have the meat arrive the same day it was cut.

In practice that reaches the whole BS range, the North Somerset coast down to Weston and Cheddar, the South Gloucestershire edge at Thornbury and Yate, and across to Bath. Further out than that - BA4, GL5, NP19, SN14, SN15 - we still go, on a larger minimum order, because the round trip has to earn itself.

We are not in a hurry to grow further. Doing this area properly matters more than covering more of the map.

Can I get same-day delivery?

Yes. Order before 2:00 pm and your box is delivered the same day, in the 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm window - subject to your postcode, stock and that day's capacity. Order after 2:00 pm and you pick from the next available dates at checkout. The shop itself takes orders 24 hours a day, every day; only the same-day cut-off is fixed.

Can I choose a specific delivery time within the 14:00-22:00 window?

We try to accommodate preferences. At checkout you can tell us if you have a tight constraint (e.g. 'must arrive before 17:30' for early iftar in winter). We'll work with you. We can't always promise a precise time slot.

What if I'm not home for delivery?

Tell us at checkout - we can leave with a neighbour, in a safe porch / secure place, or reschedule for the next slot if you'd prefer. We'll WhatsApp before delivery to confirm. We don't leave meat outside in summer heat without explicit authorisation.

Do you deliver outside Bristol for Eid?

Not currently. We may experiment with one-off Eid deliveries to nearby Bristol-edge postcodes in future, but our Bristol-only model is what allows us to keep the freshness and price stable. Once we have a clearer scaling path we'll communicate.

How does your delivery compare with supermarket halal delivery?

We deliver fresh-cut meat with a 3-4 day fridge shelf life from the day of arrival. Supermarket delivery typically arrives with 5-7 days remaining (because the meat has been pre-packed). We're more expensive per kilo but the meat is more recently butchered and the chain of custody is much shorter.
